Profile
I achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Classics in Florence in 2015 and a Master’s degree in Ancient History in Bologna in 2018. I achieved my PhD in Historical Studies in Florence in 2023 with a thesis entitled “The Keltoi in Greek literary sources between the 6th and 4th centuries BC”. My research interests include ancient European geography, ancient ethnography and Greek historiography and oratory of the 4th and 3rd centuries BC.
Abstract
In the context of the PRIN research programme, my research focuses on the concept and use of enargeia in Attic oratory in the 4th century BC, with a particular interest in the “visualisation” of violence in public debate in the years of the confrontation between Athens and Philip II.
